Here it is. 5-stringed left hand Mørch bass. Build in '99 with seymur duncan soapbars.
Hey was himself especially proud of the back and the toning of the walnut there.

I built this one from Brazilian Guyaguvera and marupa wood. It has Jazz pu encased in rosewood covers. the knobs I made from maple and they are tipped with agate from northern Nevada which closely matches the wood grain.

I later decided to not use the ramp and I removed it

The Rubstov is absolutely amazing!

I guess I would qualify for this club as well Here's my (ex-)Cobelens & de Bruyne Primo bass. Maple body and neck, merbau top, rosewood fretboard and nut, Basslines pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp.

Since I was not 100% satisfied with this bass they're building me another one. It's supposed to be done around Christmas.

Ash/wenge body, spalted birch top, maple/wenge/greenheart neck, ebony fretboard, same electronics as the merbau.

Ahhh yes that's an excelent story. It was when weather report playen in copenhagen. He build a bass then and went to copenhagen to show it to Jaco and let him play it so he could try it out. He found it really good and thought it was a gift. It wasn't and apparently he wouldn't pay so Mørch took it back. Everybody is equal in his shop. Great guy

I got one I want to order custom this summer. I have a squier I'm making as a base for this one. I may replace one or the other with a darkstar. Cept the squier is going grafitti yellow or purple or sumthin. This will be fretted maple with block inlays. Or I will keep the neck and put a finish over the rosewood. I will order the custom one fretless. The custon will also be pbass width neck but neck through. On with the mockups...

Cept they would be dual output. It will have a 7way gibson knob selector (like on the EB-3 but the EB-3 is 3 way) and where the tone knob there will be an output. 2 outputs, one where the tone goes and one where it normally goes.


I gotsted bad ass ideas... I know. I know.
