Custom bass on ebay

I found this bass on ebay today and realized the maker lives fairly close to me. I am going to see the bass soon hopefully, but I was wondering what everyone thought about it before I bid. It seems like a deal, no?

Looks nice. I believe JC participates here on TB, too. I'd recommend (a) putting the actual subject of your question in the thread title (e.g. "Anyone here tried a JC Bass?"), and (b) buying it from him only after trying it in person and deciding you like it.

 

[Alienation]

JC is a TB'er and has built several basses and all of them have a uniqueness about them. He's pretty innovative in his design choices.

He built a rainbow bass not too long ago that was really stunning. It would be great if you got a chance to see and try before you buy.

Thank you guys, sorry about the poor thread title. I went and played the bass last night. It is perfect. Hopefully he doesn't sell it before I raise some funds.
