It was a fun one to build.
I've recently built him another bass. Its a tele (guitar) shape with some pretty cool finishes on it. He has been swapping out between the two on their current tour.

An outstanding job sir! I almost saluted the bass myself. Love the craftsmanship on this build. That groove line on the headstock was sweeeeeet!

Exactly! Richard originally wanted me to build him a painted bass in the Buck Owens flavor. I talked him into the a nice piece of maple with the trans colors
And he was right to listen to you. Really nice work. That thing is beautiful. If it sounds half as good it is truly something.
I saw them at Download this weekend and was trying to figure out what he was playing, as last couple of times seen them he had a Gibson EB. Really stood out on stage, sounded lovely and looked fantastic!

Brilliant paint job and end product. I was under the impression it was for a French national...or even Yugoslavian! The body's their flag!

Saw RT play this bass right after he got it, in KC July 2012...
Spoke to him about it a few weeks ago, as he had it with him and he said he "just loves it".
So there ya go.
