All right, if you had to choose either a maple, or rosewood fretboard for a custom build based on the criteria below, what would you choose?

The build is going to definitely have these specs:

6 string, Fodera Emperor body
34" or 33" scale, not sure yet
Dual-coil pups, either Aguilar or Fodera/Duncan
Pickguard, either white pearloid or black/white/black
Purple gloss finish, either "candy" or metallic

I should also note that I mean maple variation (birdseye, regular, etc), or some type of rosewood (Brazilian, etc).

I'd have flame or birdseye neck plus birdseye board.
I'd prefer rosewood but would need to know what sort of purple.

I'm leaning towards a candy purple, but might also do a darker, royal purple. I think rosewood would look great with a lighter purple, and maple would match with a darker purple.
