Custom Pick Guards

Can Anyone tell me (other than All Parts and Warmoth) Where I can get a custom cut Pick Guard for my 2013/14 FSR/MIM Jazz Bass? The above mentioned companies don't have the color (Brown/Gold tort.) that I'm looking for. I got one from a company in China, the color is PERFECT, but it does'nt fit, Not even close; even with trimming/filing etc.

Have you tried Pickguardian? They can usually make any pickguard that you want, even allowing you to specify the thickness of the material, the number and location of screw holes, etc. In addition to this, the quality of their work and their customer service are absolutey second-to-none. :)

Here is a link to their website - [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
And a couple of good threads about them here - http://www.talkbass.com/threads/a-word-on-pickguardian.738052/

Good luck with your project!

Thank You kind Sir. I actually checked their site last night/early morning. I didn't see the color I want so I just kept searching elsewhere. Maybe I Have to call them...?

You are more than welcome! :)
I would certainly send them an email and see what they say. A couple of years ago I was searching for a gold anodized pickguard for a 1951-style Precision, so I contacted Pickguardian to enquire. Tony (the owner) wrote back, saying that unfortunately he did not make anodized guards, but giving me the contact details of a company who were happy to make them as one-off customer orders. If you let him know exactly what you were looking for, he may well have a suitable piece of material lying around, or be able to point you towards someone who might help.

Another alternative might be to buy the material yourself and then either make it yourself, or, if you are not confident of your ability to make a really neat, professional-looking job of it, send it to somebody who could do the job for you. I'm sure that there will be plenty of trusted members on the forum here who make things out of plastic (pickup covers and the like) and who would be happy to help.
In just a minute or so of Googling ("faux tortoiseshell material" was the search term) I found a couple of possible sources, just to give you an idea of what is out there.

Used to own a '52 P bass (left) that had an aluminum pick guard. Could never determine if it was original to the bass (maybe an employee one off?). It fit perfectly and came complete w/ the classic tug bar. Didn't seem to ever be anodized either. Wish I could discover the history behind it.

Yeah, I ordered a "sheet" of what I THINK is the same color (brown-gold pearloid) I'm gonna have a "qualified" person cut it to the exact dimensions as the original pick guard that came with the Bass, Thanks a lot, I'll post pictures when it's all done
