Custom pickup question

Alright. I have a custom bass with a 10" fretboard radius. I have two Bartolini pickups with no radius at all. That being said, I have awesome sound on the B and G string but my middle strings have huge volume difference.

What I need to find is a pickup building who can make me 2 pickups in the shape of a Bartolini MM5CBC and a Bartolini X5 but with a 10" radius and custom spacing.

Anybody know a maker that can do this for me? I've contact Nordstrand and Aero already and they've said they can't do it.

Any help wqould be greatly appreciated.

If Carey won't do it then you're probably SOL.

I've had some PV pups with a radius and I had the reverse issue so I stay away from them. I would avoid a bass with such a neck as well because it's freak stuff and to my knowledge you have no good solution. Pups with adjustable poles but your restricted to the tones of those few pups which you may or may not like. The pole spacing probably would make no difference - doesn't with a typical radius. That's the good news. Sounds like you'd have to route to even go that route - so to speak.

You could try the PV's or other radiused pups but there aren't many. Bart has made some in recall.

Perhaps anything that would work for an URB - I think there are some mags for them. Or try a post in the DB forum as a radius is their thing and many of them play EB so they'd probably know as well as anyone.

There are lots of pickup makers that can make a pickups to fit this need but it would cost a healthy bit. It all depends on what you want to spend but that's what happens when you get into radical custom basses. The best solution for this problem might be adjustable poles.
