Custom Rack Overdrive

So I am lifting my ideas for a rack overdrive out of the AGRO thread into one of its own.

So here's my deal.

I'm a neat freak - and I do not particularly like a floor strewn with overdrives.

Solution: a rack mountable overdrive unit.

The catch I need it to work in my effects loop which has no level controls.

So here are my few specs.


Custom Rack Overdrive:

One Rack space

Internal power supply (no wall warts)

Full Eq (preferably treble, mid, bass, and presence)

A gain control that only adds gain - not volume during a full sweep

An expression pedal out for the Gain control so I can adjust the gain on the fly.

Footswitchable bypass.

Internal or external input and output trims for use in my effects loop.



So given these requirements please feel free to make suggestions of any existing products that might fit the bill.

There's a bloke in Devon, UK who makes valve rack-overdrive units. His company is called DHA.

SWR Interstellar Overdrive has most of those features covered, if not all.

fxdoctor does some rehousings, and they've done some custom jobs before. They may be able to work something up for you.
