I've got a Squier P bass, it's not great really, but it's going to be my bass for a long time due to budget restraints, so I want to make it fanciful and pretty. Problem is this, I want to make the design on the computer, so I need a guideline of the shape of the pickguard with exact proportions. I was going to scan an image of it, but it won't fit on the scanner bed.
So my question is this, does anybody have an image of the 14 hole (stupid fourteen, otherwise I could use a picture of a fender one that I am sure is out there somewhere) squier precision bass pickguard with proportions intact?
At this point the only things I think I can do is either use a tripod on my camera and make sure it's perfectly level and the pickguard is on a perfectly flat surface. Or use a photocopier and shrink the image so it will fit on my scanner, but then after that many steps I'm worried I'll lose the sizing.
Thanks in advance for any advice, I really appreciate it.
