CV or MIM Precision...

I've been looking online about the CV 60's bass and everyone says it is better than a MIM bass.I love the fiesta red color on the CV and I'm leaning towards it but I would like your input, if any of you have one I would love to hear how you like yours!

If you dig fiesta red, the best offerings out there within MIM Fender, are Classic '50s with maple fingerboard, gold anodized
aluminum pickguard and Vintage saddle bridge, but they come at nearly twice the price of Squier Classic Vibes.

So you know what to do

The sound, unless you play fully effected, is better on MIM standard than on Classic Vibes, 'cause we're talkin' alder body and modern wired pickups, while Classic Vibes do the opposite (basswood body but Vintage wired pickups)... if you consider MIM Classic the difference is more evident, but so is the price.

That's why so many opt for Classic Vibes... they show the best compromise in Vintage feel (fret dimension and pickup voicing) and state of the art factory instruments (basswood body, higloss finish, himass bridge): I'm myself longin' for a Biffy Clyro's James Johnston Jazz, which is sorta lake placid blue Classic Vibe Jazz bass:)

Cheers,
Wallace

Yeah. I'd take the CV. Debates about quality aside you honestly don't need to go past value for money. Best bang for buck in the marketplace at the moment. I'm very tempted to get involved myself but the VM 5 is also tempting and dirt cheap.

I have owned all 3.

MIM FSR, CV, and still have the MIM 50' Classic.

You cant go wrong with either.

The 50's Classic is still getting played and it is a great Bass...but try one first as the neck is 1.75, some cant get used to while others adapt well.

The CV 60's P is one of the best bangs for the buck..well made, light, sounds and plays great...I miss mine very much and wish I still had it.

Good Luck.
