Double Bass Czechoslovakian 1/4 size bass

Hello all,
Would any of you guys be able to tell the age and possible worth of my 1/4 size bass. label inside says made in Czechoslovakia, front is solid Cedar,back and sides are ply. fingerboard, tailpiece and top hat tuning knobs made of ebony, body has been stripped and refinished,will post pics soon.

What a cool little bass! Does it sound good??? Does it seem loud for its size, or more in lIne with what you might expect from such a little guy? What is the string length? This could retuned like a violin and you just might have a sweet little Bassetto.

I used to use it all the time Nathan and it was huge but I bought another 3/4 and the 1/4 just sat in the corner for a few months and when I went back to play it, it sounded dull and lifeless, had a guy look at it and its still the same dull, lifeless! its kinda went in the huff with me. Its a shame cause I like it very much.
