I've found that over the years, in a loud rock band..especially if 2 guitars and one is quite bassy, that the G string just gets lost in the mix for the most part..Nothingmuch you can do about it really..it just doesn't have th e lows..
More quieter or less intense tunes, the G will be there, but obviously not as much as the big lows on the E and A..
If you're playing with a couple of screaming guitars, just accept the fact that the G string will not cut through.
As for the Gt10B..a lot of the effects on there are just pure tone suckers..the compressors are all super tone suckers..
