D.I.Y. Home made pick ups.

Hi Folks.
Twiddling my thumbs during this lockdown we're all on and was wondering about making my own pick ups. Have built a few basses in my time and always thought about making bass pick ups. Seen a few vids on it, but as usual it's mostly people making tele and strat ones. Just wondered if anyone has had a go at it and what parts you recommend etc.
