Daddario changing published tension figures

I know that some of us love comparing tension figures.

Recently, I felt sure that the numbers I was reading for Pro Steels were different from what I had previously jotted down.

Currently daddario.com says that the 40-95 EPS220 set of Pro Steels have a total tension of 129 lbs:

So I ordered some. They just arrived, with packaging saying the total tension is 137 lbs:

I've emailed Daddario to ask, have Pro Steels changed, or just your calculations?

If I get a reply to this pressing question, I'll be sure to share it with you, I know you'll be as intrigued as me.

For good measure, I looked up the old Daddario pdf. That gives the 40-60-75-95 set as having a total tension of 144 lbs.

The current String Tension Chart for the EPS220 set on the website says 130.4 lbs (?!?)

Exciting news, I have a reply from George at Daddario.

Q. Have the Pro Steels changed, or has your method of calculating tension changed?

A. The web site would be a bit more accurate as I believe the unit weights changed on those thus altering the final tension but it is only about a pound of difference per string so it should not be much of a factor in the overall scheme of things.

It's been a long day, but I think George is trying to tell me that the structure of Pro Steels has changed in a small way, and that my 40-60-75-95 set (and presumably my large stash of 50-65-85-110 sets) are from the previous recipe.

As a big fan of Pro Steels, my instinct is not to be overjoyed at the thought of anything about them changing.
