Daisy chain fender rumble 200

Hey guys I have a question. Sorry i don't know how to post this in the rumble club.

I'm looking to buy 2x fender rumble 200 combos and daisy chain them together. Can this be done? I'm assuming FX send 1 to FX return 2. Would this give me 400w of power through 2x15s? Any negative side effects? Do both amps need to plugged into power?

Any thoughts for or against? Thank you!

Yes, connect Effects Send on the first amp to the Effects Return on the second amp.
Yes, since both combos are combos, both need to be connected to AC power.
No, the output is 140 watts into the internal 8 ohms speaker, so the total wattage output will be 240 watts.
In order to get 200 watts out of one combo you would need to add an additional 8 ohms extension cabinet.

Resurrecting this old thread -- can someone explain why the main amp controls the second amp's volume? Is the power amp at full all the time and the master volume just controls the pre-amp level?

FX send is after the pre-amp, so after gain (which is before the pre, I think), after EQ (which is after the pre?) right? And then FX return goes directly to the main amp. I would have thought the master controlled the main amp, but apparently not?

That's right. You answered your own question.

Right. And the Master (volume/signal level) is between the Gain and the EQ.

Correct. The sounds like you just read it from the Block Diagram for the Rumble 40, 100, 200 & 500 here.

I have the 40 and I just got the 200, but the question here was like thirty pages back. Thanks for all the answers! I didn't actually look at that diagram, but I should have.

Whoa, it's interesting how the three mode buttons all show up at different parts of the circuit!

All the more reason to join the Fender Rumble Club and have a convenient place to find info or ask questions.

Did you get a printed manual with the 200? It has the block diagram. Do they still include that?

Yes, and their effects are quite interesting, too! 😉
