Damaged speaker cabinet..help!

I have a 1x15 speaker cab, a trace Elliot if that matters. Anyways at the last gig it fell over when packing up and now doesn't work. I can turn it up and hear just a whisper of sound when it should be blasting. I took it apart and don't see anything wrong with it. If the lead wires to the cone are loose, can it be repaired?

Fell over? I have a 15" Trace, it doesn't fall over without a nudge from a raging bull.

The only thing that comes to mind is if it fell down a flight of stairs or off a stage maybe the magnet is almost busted off the back of the speaker.

It should be pretty easy to tell if the wiring is intact but I wouldn't expect a drop to mess up wiring, mine's all very well soldered.

Quit playing through it, amps don't like dodgy.

Hi.

If You hear something, that means that the wiring is probably all right.

That leaves a bent basket or detached magnet, and quite frankly, neither is very DIY repair friendly.

When You press the cone gently and uniformly, does it move or not?
If it does, and doesn't scratch, there can be something wrong with the cross-over (if any), but if it's as stiff as... you're SOL.

+1 for not playing through it until You can determine what's wrong with it.

If you press gently on the cone, I doubt it will move much and if it doesn't want to move, don't force it- it may have a shifted magnet and if this is the case, you might want to just replace the driver. If it's a current model of driver, contact the manufacturer and get their ideas- they may be able to help.

No, it's not something you can repair on your own.
