Sounds like the chucklehead driver needs to work on some of his strongman moves in his own time. If you aren't strong enough to one-arm it to your shoulder and walk around with it - MAY YOU DON'T TRY IT WITH SOMEONE ELSE'S THINGS.

DAMN IT!!! UPS GUY JUST DROPPED A GUITAR

I got a call from UPS Customer Care at 8:21AM this morning.
At least they give me the impression that this is not acceptable and they are concerned about their reputation.
I told the rep that I've noticed a trend, and though there was not a tragedy this time, it is unsettling. She was very concerned and assured me the driver would be made aware and they would nip this in the bud.
I can sometimes tell when my UPS driver is in the neighborhood not by the sound of the truck, but by the sound of the loud one-sided ongoing cell phone conversation echoing through the neighborhood. And it's not just one driver, I've noticed a couple doing this now.
Again, if you're not happy with your service or you think your UPS driver has acted less than professionally, call and write. I realize we can chose the shipper when we ship, but we can't always chose the shipper when we receive.

Well, you can in some cases. When dealing privately, I will ask the seller to use the shipper of my choice and I offer to cover any increased fee over the shipper of his/her choice.
When buying from stores online, I find different shipping options have different carriers. I'll pick the option that gets the carrier I want. You can also call, which I have done, and request it to be sent by the way you want. If the online retailer does not offer the carrier I prefer, I move on to one that will.

I ordered a mini marshal stack (the kind that run on 9 volts) for my cousin, who plays guitar. It came in a beat up box and the insides of the amp were shaking around when i shook it. Returned it to gc (I ordered it to to save a drive but apparently it's worth driving) and they refused to give me a refund, just an out of stock exchange,so I am still waiting a month after christmas, 2 months since I ordered it, and my cousin is ticked off that he has no present when he gave me a 20 pack of strings. UPS RULES!!! Oooh, my sarcasm is really thick today...
Yeah, this crossed my mind. If this (and the YouTube vids) is what they do out in the open, imagine what they do when the public can't see.
