So I have both the MBD3 (which I love) and the Bass Amp Grinder. I've never gotten a long with Rats on bass but something made me want to try this one.
I dig it. A lot. What was most surprising to me is that my favorite setting is really subtle and works for my always on, grindy tone. I've never found a Rat-style pedal that works this well as a foundational overdrive.
You can see my settings here. I will rotate the Amp Grinder and the MBD3 in that slot depending on what I need or how I'm feeling.
