damnit.

Well i'm late for rehearsal right now so i'll keep this short...

I tried Kringle's settings yesterday -- with my Guild, not even the P bass -- and instantly, I was like "ah, this is how it's supposed to sound". I still had to tweak to get the tone just right, and i'll probably continue tweaking for a while, but turning the treble all the way up and bumping up the two high sliders made a huge change in the usability of this cab. At a few points yesterday I was able to get some really amazing tones... so it looks like i'll be keeping all of my gear, quite happily at that! One thing I noticed about this cab is that it's very directional compared to my GK 410. The treble is really only audible when you're directly in front of the cab, whereas if you stand anywhere out of the direct line of the speakers you get a really smooth, very pleasing "bass-y" sound. It's interesting how different the sound is by only standing a foot to either side of the cab.

I'll post more later, and hopefully get some pics up soon. (it's really, really pretty...)

Yeah! There ya go! Now go plug the p-bass in and you'll have it. That ashdown, my berg nv610 and billy sheehan attitude basses sound great together. I love to tweek!:) If you ever open up the cab, let me know what the two top speakers are.
