I used to shake my head over this, too...probably the 'least technical' thing we did. IIRC, we played it in the 1st set & the last set...and twice as long as the 3-minute Romantics' version. ;)

LOL! That song broke up my old cover band. My brother - our guitarist - said he was going to vomit if he had to play it one more time.
 
Not exactly brand new songs but these get the dancers out all the time.

We recently started to play Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes and it either packs the floor or people sit and groove to it (even older people). We put some oomph into it and we say it has the tribal beat to it. Also, it does not hurt us that it is now one of the Penn State football team fight songs.
