I was told in another thread that the Tonepump circuit is actually boost/cut, not boost only as advertised. I contact PJ @ Spector about this and he gave me the following specs:
"Basic gain +12dB
Controls:
Bass: +14dB/-4dB @55Hz
Treble: +14dB/-12dB @6.5kHz
this info will be live on our new site in the Tech Section very soon!"
Meaning that to run the tonepump flat, you have to open the bass pot just shy of 1/4 of the way, and the treble just shy of 1/2 way.
As a side note, the new Spector website looks way better than the old one.
