Danelectro scale length

I am starting a cigar box bass project. I purchased a Danelectro neck on ebay but I am not sure what bass it came from. I didn't think things through before I got the neck and now I am unsure of what the scale length should be. It has 21 frets and is 24 inches from the nut to the last fret. Would that make it a 35 inch scale length? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Measure from the nut to the twelfth fret and double it

As far as I recall, most danelectros (not all) are short scale, or 30". I believe some are 34" scale. To verify, just follow Hdracers advice and measure from the nut to the twelfth fret and double that. This will give you the scale length.
