Shorthorn and longhorn are both shortscale?!?!
And the longscale?
Please try to be clearer... My brain is a bit tired this night...
Shorthorn means....?
Longhorn means....?
Short scale means....?
Long scale means...?
Wow, did not know the neck was only 34 inches. It FEELS a lot longer.
In case you weren't sure, scale is the measurement from nut to saddles.
The bodies of the longhorns have long horns and the bodies of the shorthorns have short horns.
Ah, my type of thread. My Long Horn SS is my baby.
As far as the long scale goes, it is 34" IIRC.
msb said:34 is long scale . Longhorns are shorter than that . Usually a thirty inch scale . But they do have a two octave neck .
Its actually counterintuitive.
Longhorn = short scale
Shorthorn (DC) = longscale (34")
When people use the term "shorthorn" I think of the Dano DC.
Good catch - I just thought of that.
Its the DC reissues that are the longscale.
Thanks
