Double Bass Darkest string for arco known to man.

Passione Stark! I have tried their regular and I found them to be like a "weich"......thinner than usual. The starks are perfect, now I have a full set on.

Jargar (dolce, didn't try other gauges) is the darkest string I have tried. Very little (virtually none) overtone color, and also less sympathetic vibration of the strings while playing, which may or may not be desired (i didn't care for it, too "dry" sounding for my taste). took them off after a couple days, returned at the time to Kaplans, which bow amazingly and while somewhat dark, are not too dampened sounding.
