Why do you think so? Maybe it’s a problem that could be solved with a upgrade or the HPO simply sounds poopy on this one. Do you have an ADAM that does not have these issues?

I’ve been thinking about the ADAM since I first saw the video announcement on YouTube, and keeping an eye on the various demos and reviews, and...the ADAM kind of confounds me. I’ve heard some distortion sounds from it that I would like to try. I like the EQ and compressor features, but at the same time, I’m not sure I want the compressor as a part of the distortion pedal. I definitely don’t need the DI right out of the distortion pedal, because I like my wah (for example) AFTER the distortion, and so I need to use my DG Element for DI and cabsim now anyway, and would have to even with ADAM. And I definitely still want my Alpha Omicron’s distortion tones.

I feel like I want the compressor and EQ portion of it in a standalone box, WITH the button/switch presets for those, included.

If I ever get one, it seems like a unit I would keep as a standalone unit, not as part of my pedal board.

This may be a stupid question but is it possible to edit the presets to be for example:
A - clean
B - mild dirt
C - aggressive dirt or full fuzz

I've just begun to seriously consider the ADAM and if one could stomp between these 3 tweakable scenarios I would be all in

this is how I set mine as well. So, yes!

Really depends on your definition of mild. It doesnt do subtle unless you barely have the dirt mixed in.

I know it doesn't sound anything you said. I have one and beta-tested the pedal for DG so I know the pedal well. Headphones out sounds as good as everything DG does

Am I understanding correctly that as of now with firmware v1.0 that when a cab sim is selected it is routed to all outputs and Doug posted in this thread in a future update it may be possible to remove cab sim from the 1/4" outs?

There may be a very good reason for it but it's a little disappointing that there isn't an on/off selector for cab sim on the balanced 1/4" outputs for using the ADAM live with an amp and cab sim on the XLR to FOH

I heard you will be able to change that with a future firmware update.

So, Doug posted on Facebook that a future firmware update is gonna also include the aforementioned feature to disable the cab sim on the 1/4” out, but there is also going to be a pad switch in the app to provide low gain.....

Can anyone who owns an ADAM confirm the draw? On the DG sight it states 500mA and shows it as such in the photos but the ADAM in the photo on the Zzounds website has 400 mA printed on the back.

Yeah I’m definitely interested in hearing some of the lower gain sounds! I guess that’s one big plus of a fully digital pedal
