Darkglass B3K or Boss BB 1X?

Hello all....I am confused between Darkglass B3K and Boss BB 1X. what to buy? Can anyone plz help? Also what if I don't use DI preamp like one of Darkglass B7K, will it have any impact on the sound?

Never thought I'd see a "Darkglass or Boss" thread.

The Boss hasn't even been out that long, I'm not even sure if it's widely available yet since they only officially announced it last month, so there probably isn't much feedback.

I don't think anyone really knows much about the BB yet. Is it even available?

The B3k is a CMOS based drive. The actual drive isn't all the remarkable compared to other CMOS pedals but the way the EQ is tuned and the blend feature really set it apart and make it sound much different. Very interested in seeing these two compared.

I have the B3K, a lot of TBers do, and it sounds absolutely fantastic for a warm gritty overdrive. I don't really see it as a face-melting distortion pedal - which is good, because that's not what I want from it. I don't think anyone really has the new Boss pedal yet, but it seems to be a bit closer to the face-melter type from the NAMM demo vid.

That's Anna Sentina, the latest youtube sensation. The comments on youtube have been pretty positive on Boss for hiring a booth babe who can actually play. Over at Schecter's NAMM booth the chick was merely a human guitar stand.

If you play metal and wanted a musically heavy distortion sound, I would say go with the darkglass b3k.

The Boss BB-1X wont be available until late March for customers. I will be picking one up upon release and share my review of the pre-amp

Darkglass gets my vote, I have a B3K and it is money well spent in my opinion. I'll never get rid of mine....It sounds amazing!
