Darkglass Electronics Tone Capsule Preamp

this pre is awesome! it sounds great, i have a passive active switch on it also but the active is so nice you won't ever use it in passive.....i use it with the B7K also and it kills. if you have a good cab and head it will blow you away.....the only gripe i have is that it should have capabilities for a mid switch.....

Do you have a separate passive tone control?

And do you have a wiring diagram?

I was wondering the same thing, did I miss something?
Hey! Sorry for the late reply but I wasn't following the forum!
Doug sent it to me in a form of a box in order to avoid installation over and over again for the needs of the video.

Anyone know if a graph showing the EQ curves of the TC exists anywhere? And if so, where can I
get a copy? Someone else in this thread was also curious how the "hi-mid" control actually works
as whether it's a bell curve of shelf EQ.

I'm seriously thinking about installing the TC in my Spector Euro LX5 and most interested
in looking at how the EQ circuit works. My Spector has the stock Tone Pump Jr. "boost only" pre
and is fairly useless for me. The bass always sounds nasal and any bass EQ just makes the low end
sound like a big elephant fart.

I'm also curious if the TC is really transparent in the "flat" settings. I look forward to
hearing your impressions as to how colorless the TC is and whether or not the true sound of
the instrument can remain intact without having to completely bypass the preamp.
Many thanks in advance for any info.

Any chance you could measure it?
An inch cubed is going to be pushing it! The EMG pre that's in there at the moment is really streamlined and takes up almost no extra room and there's not much free space.

i would have to pull the pickguard on a fender adpv! id rather do it during a string change... im sure some guys on here have one!

Mine is 1 1/8" x 1 1/8" x 3/4"
