Darkglass Element and HX Stomp XL with an amp.

I’m currently running a Darkglass Element as part of an ampless gig setup or for home practice with headphones coming out the Element. For effects and a tuner I run my Line 6 HX Stomp XL into the element, which handles everything apart from amp simulation (I’ve never really gelled with the amp sims in the Stomp).

That said, I’ve found the Element’s instructions a bit confusing, and I’m trying to dial in a setup that works both at home and for the occasional gig where I’m running into a real amp.

Ideally, I’d like to:

• Keep using the Element for headphones and IR/cab simulation
• Run my HX Stomp XL for effects
• Be able to plug into an amp without the Element colouring or affecting the signal going into it

I’m curious how others are setting up their Element in a rig like this, especially when combining it with a multi-effects unit and switching between ampless and amp-based setups.

The jack on the right side of the unit next to the input is an uncoloured out/thru.

So you can just plug that into the amp and bypass the ir and eq the element might be doing.

Else use one of the other outputs on the stomp to go to the amp.
