Darkglass Microtubes B7K Ultra Cab Sim adds noise?

Hey all just wondering if anyone notices that the cab sim on this pedal adds noticeable noise and hiss into the sound? It completely goes when you bypass the sim.

Is this normal or have I possibly received a faulty unit?

I have not noticed extra noise, but suddenly the direct out and the headphone out are producing no sound!! I am hoping Doug at @Darkglass can help me solve this issue. I absolutely love this pedal but the cab sims and headphone capability was a big reason that i bought it.
