Darkglass teasing a new product

I believe the MOD Devices team was also bought up by KORG.

MOD had the dwarf and duo pedals a few years back, which had a sort of open source ecosystem for plugins. The actual unit didn't end up being that great.

This looks to be just a standard modeler-style unit, but time will tell.

I went to Darkglass.com/creations/anagram and got a page that had lorem ipsum garbage text and placeholder graphics. That page is now gone and redirects elsewhere. Nothing definitive, but maybe a + 5% probability for it being a Darkglass product called the Anagram? Maybe?

Ok, doing a google search finds another page that was taken down. Here's a screenshot of the result. Search terms: "Darkglass Anagram"

That's about $1125 USD.

I don’t mind them marketing to guitar noodlers, because they are a plenty. But, if this is indeed a Darkglass product, it should have heavy options for bass.

If not, why? The company started out as bass effects. If this thing is guitar noodle heavy, I’m out.

This certain,y seems to suggest it’s Darkglass. Now what’s a cosmoloba for pedal’s sake?!View attachment 7202783
So "Cosmoloba" and "Anagram" would be 2 new Darkglass pedals, and Cosmoloba's USB port would be able to use Anagram's audio interface capabilities, and use the Darkglass suite app for software updates and share/download models and presets from the Darkglass community?

Or "Anagram" is the name of the new pedal and "Cosmoloba" is the name of the community?

COSMOBOLA could be an anagram for "ALSO COMBO" - perhaps an Infinity 500 style combo amp with the Anagram modeling?

Good work, that seems like a very good guess. This is like watching LOST or Westworld or Severance with everyone trying to figure out what is going on with tiny clues.
I love this thread, I love all your smart clues, and I can’t wait to get the final word. I confess I reload the homepage of the Darkglass website and Leo Gibson Youtube channel several times a day, I know it’s stupid but I can’t help it…

I’m excited to hear about and I don’t even have any plans of ever buying one. Maybe.

Interesting - two new pedals is at bare minimum at least one better than just one new pedal.

If the $1799 price is accurate for the Anagram, then IMO that points pretty heavily toward a Quad Cortex sized thing for bass. Anagrams are all about rearranging things, so yeah... build up and arrange your ABC toan blocks, tap dance on 10+ rotary buttons. Bonus points if it can run a Parallax VST... (I kid, I kid...)

Maybe the Cosmoloba is an effects only box? Name sounds kinda spacey / sci-fi / dreamy. Could see an ADAM / Photon / Infinity sized thing right next to one of the latter for a pretty beastly little fly rig. TRS MIDI to control the other dirt box (and not have to think about them using Type B).

Element replacement also tracks a bit in my mind, but I'm not sure why they wouldn't just call it the V2 like the B3K. Also not sure what an improvement on that particular formula would be. Line out? 1/4" headphone jack? Loop? Ability to send audio somewhere other than just the headphones? All that stuff still feels like a V2 though.
