Darkglass teasing a new product

Anagram Deep Dive:

This is an incredible video, they’ve solved all my issues with capture units.

Obviously it has to sound good that’s always at the core and I won’t know until I try it. But form and function this thing is incredible.

I also won’t be buying one till the Bluetooth is implemented and the phone app is working with it.

Will be waiting to hear reviews from end-users, as well as how the bug-fixing and updates go. That said, this is the first MFX unit I've been truly interested in since the HX Stomp was released. The QC is a little over the top and complex for my tastes, but I like what I'm seeing on the Anagram in terms of effects models, amp models, and relatively easy configuration. If it can do a convincing rusty box/Traynor tone, I could ditch my entire pedalboard with this thing.

Also, patiently awaiting an Amos Heller review and deep-dive on this thing...

So many things to like about it, from the fact that it does NAM and AIDA-X, and has the DSP to run three profiles and still run FX, to the intelligent UX to the terrific sounds thus far portrayed in the videos. But what helped clinch it for me was the use case that Paajanenä mentioned at the end of the deep dive, which was using the return as a separate input for a piezo signal which I currently do with both a Beebo and a Mod Dwarf. Being able to effect my mag and piezo pickups separately and send them to different outs is key.

He says they’re adding Bluetooth

Hmmm. That seemed like a throwaway comment right at the end there. I can't see how they can implement Bluetooth at a later date unless the hardware is already there. There's no mention of Bluetooth on the Darkglass product page either, and they've already started shipping.

Maybe Erik had a pre-production unit and was told Bluetooth would be included in the final units, but it never materialised.

Can't they update the software to utilize a Bluetooth dongle plugged into the USB C port? Might be an additional source of revenue if they can lock it down to only using their own dongle.

My guess is that the antenna is already part of the hardware spec, but they didn't have time to implement it in the software/firmware before launch. Could even have been an issue of not getting the proper licensing in time from all the necessary government authorities regarding wireless transmissions.
