!VERY COOL!

Sonic Blue USA Lakland Bob Glaub 44-64 with a Darkstar & a matching headstock! W/ OHSC

Facts:
-The price is firm @$1900 shipped CONUS and I am not looking for trades.

-The darkstar is aftermarket. The cavity has been shielded, the route and install was done by Eric at Eric's Guitar Shop in Van Nuys, California via a previous owner of this bass.

-1.5" nut. The neck is SUPER comfy. I've played and owned a lot of US Laklands, and this one is special in its own way. Quick and low, but not buzzy. I treat my necks per Lakland's recommendations, which is why the fretboard looks so dark in the photo. It's just hydrated and well taken care of!

-This bass received a refin by Marty Bell under my direction. It went from CAR to sonic blue with a matching headstock. The mint pickguard is what was on the bass when I got it. I'm assuming it came from Lakland as they can easily cut a factory guard for a US Glaub with a Darkstar. The USA logo on the headstock came from Lakland on my request, and was applied by Marty during the refin.

-This bass is in good condition. I have gigged it, but not a ton. I did a quick once over and didn't notice any dings or dents, though there is lots of tiny "worming" from natural player's wear on the body.

-A comfortable 9.143lbs

-OHSC. White Lakland hard case, good condition.

-This bass is cool as hell. I mean, just look at it! Again, I've owned a lot of US Laklands and a majority of them have had darkstars. I freaking LOVE Darkstar Laklands. This one slays. Then again, they all do...and I have quite a handful of them here at home with me. I'm putting this one out there because I quite literally "never" play it, save for a few practice dates at home. For whatever reason, I gravitate to a few other basses far more frequently than this bass. I'm happy to keep it, but I'd be happier to see it go to someone who will play it more often than I do. With this in mind, I'd like to reiterate: the price is firm @$1900 shipped CONUS and I am not looking for trades.

Thank you! Please PM with any direct inquiries regarding the sale. I will be diligent to close the thread when sold.

RECORDINGS! Here's some examples of 2 Lakland *skyline* 44-64/Bob Glaubs with a darkstar. It's not *this* bass but the sound is all the same, IMO.

I've seen some you tube of Lakland jazz with darkstars. Any sound clips of p-body with darkstar?

Hope Lee doesn't mind,
Here's a recording I did for the LOG CD a few years ago, Lakland Skyline P-bass with Darkstar pickup.
Not the best recording, but the best I could do at the time.

Thank you!!! I know I have recordings with 2 different skyline DS Glaubs somewhere..I'll get those up too!
