Darkstar Mod into my Bob Glaub???

It worked out really well. I was concerned that the "right at the end of the fingerboard" position would end up being to dark, but not so...
I didn't wanna cut or route anything as the bass is worth quite a bit anymore...the DS dropped in the stock route, and right into a replacement p/g. All the old bits are on the shelf...

That's amazing! I want a DS in my Geddy Lee jazz, but I'd have to route it. I guess I'm greedy, because I want to keep both jazz pickups... nice to know it works out in that position. When I'm employed, maybe it'll be a gift to myself

It a great pickup--i have a BG with one--but it's very different from a p bass pu--FYI. they're just different sounds, and they react to string choice and how you play in their own way. I'd suggest trying one before routing out a p bass you already like.

Doesn't it make for a bass with no hum-canceling setting?

I have a Darkstar'd Glaub (DPLEII) and it's just as quiet as any bass with hum-cancelling pickups.
