Assume pole connected also to pickup metal shell to be ground and go from there. As there is but that pickup, phase and so on with another pickup is not an issue. Lovely pickups which I think were a happy accident in their design because it is a very complicated design which Fred Hammon has lovingly replicated and improved upon.

If one isn't already connected to ground, chose your favorite color to be ground and connect it to metal case and your shielding. Other is your hot wire. You can be old school and just run wire or do coax like guitar cable with center hot and shield ground. Lovely pickups with a unique sound.

Sure, if they're RW/RP. If they aren't it would be easy to reverse the leads on the scpb pickup and have someone reverse the polarity of the magnets. IOW, leave the DS alone and alter the scpb.

What I said before assumed you already have the DS. If you have to order one tell Fred how you want it. The Duncan will probably be South up and wound ccw, so you'd want Fred to make your DS North up and cw. Check first.
