Double Bass David Gage Lifeline question

Hello, is anyone using a Lifeline (the Kolstein version, wider for wooden bridge adjusters) with aluminum regular bridge adjusters? Does it work well? Thanks

You can do it, but it's not ideal. You have to be careful to get the pickup centered around the post, and there's a chance you'll shift it if you make a bridge adjustment. It's better to have the right pickup for the job, but you can probably get away with it if you're careful and exacting with pickup installation.
