Fantastic!
I lived in the Shoals for a time and was in the only music store down there...Counts Music. I was looking at their bass selection when an older gentleman walked up and asked me if I played bass. I told him I did and he asked what I played. At the time my #1 was a Lakland and I mentioned it. He said, "I play those too. Great basses". We chatted a bit about bass, amps, gear, etc. then he had to go. After he left, the music store employee came up to me and said, "Do you know who that was?". I admitted I didn't. It was David Hood. UGH! I can't believe I didn't recognize him.
I used to drive by that old studio nearly every day.
That is a great interview. David Hood is so humble.
Were you a drive-by trucker?I used to drive by that old studio nearly every day.
