I think David Hood is vastly underrated. He should get mentioned at least as often as (for example) Duck Dunn on TB. Great tone and feel in that clip (although the chorus doesn't really take off as it could).

David Hood and Jerry Jemmott are the gold standard for Old School R&B on a Jazz Bass, in my opinion.
