David Minnieweather Bass Club?

Hey I was wondering if anyone on these forums owns one of these. A few weeks ago, I bought a used custom Minnieweather 6 string fretless lined bass. I have loved it. I was told it was very rare so I am just trying to see how rare it really is.

Am I wrong in thinking that Minnieweather stopped building basses?

Either way there definitely aren't a ton of them floating around.

Man...he seemed so talented. What a shame he passed so young.

I owned a couple of early Minnieweather one-offs. one was the prototype to his Sugarman 8-string.
The other was a gorgeous but strange carved 4-string zebrawood bass. played and sounded incredible and uber lightweight, probably under 7ibs....with one triple-coil Bartolini PUP.

A real shame he passed away so early. The guy had talent, passion and imagination to be original.
