DAVISON BASS

I have a Davison & Company 5 string and it's very confortabe to play I love the action but, it doesn't give me the "THICKNESS" on the B I like with out maxing out the lows on the EQ. I also like to be able to hear some shine out of the D & G string as well. I was told that all I would have to add a preamp and modify the wiring for the pickup blend since the pickup has it's own volume and tone. Any suggestions?

Can you recommend pu. I've been told the Bartilinni were the best for the cost.

If I had that bass I would put in a Bartolini MM pickup. If you don't like the sound of the other pickup I would change that too. then make a StingRay preamp for it. Replace 3 pots with 25K, 100K, and 1M rev for the preamp. Replace the other tone pot with a rotary switch for pickup and coil selection. You would have a killer bass then. It wouldn't be a Davison anymore. You would have to remove the Davison name on the headstock and paint your own name there :D
