Double Bass DB string tension pounds?

Hi all. I'm curious about how many pounds of tension the structure of a double bass has to resist. I guess it's going to vary within quite a wide range, depending on the type of strings. Anybody got a clue about that range, maybe a chart?
I guess there must be some study on it.
