Dead battery MOD for 2-band preamp?

Ok, here's an odd one for you folks. I'm playing a fender jag and I left it plugged in overnight killing the battery. The thing is, I love the way it sounds in active mode now... it's like a really janky fuzz or distortion circuit.

I've already sent another jag in for some mods, where I'm adding a pickup blend and will be repurposing the pickup on/off switches. Just wondering... is there anyway to mod one of those switches to emulate the effect I'm getting with a near dead battery in active mode? Thoughts?

Some boutique fuzz pedals include a "sag" control, which is simply a variable resistor wired in series with the + voltage of the power supply. turning the control down "sags" (reduces) the supply voltage, 'starving' the amp circuit a bit which causes the clipping & distortion you're hearing.

If you want a switch for the sag control, you'll have to experiment a bit to find a resistance that delivers the right amount of drive.

As @Crater mentions, this should be pretty easy but you'll have to play around to find the correct resistance to put in the circuit. The easiest way to do that is to add a potentiometer, either as your permanent sag mechanism or for purpose of measurement to find the right fixed resistor to add
