Deal or no Deal?

My opinion is my Peavey Foundation 5 is compareable to and US made production bass as far as quality goes. It's a simple bass, not a lot of features (no graphite in neck, passive pickups and preamp, simple hardware...etc) but it's well made and the pickups are very versitle if you tweek the knobs. When I bought mine I took the strings off gave it a good cleaning, hit the pots and input jack with contact cleaner, adjusted the sadles and replaced the strings. The string spacing on this bass is tighter than a fender but that works for me because I use a pic on this bass and chords and arpeggios are more comfortable (to me). It's a good bass, what color did you get?
