Dealing with Trailer Park Trash

j

I wear an old digital watch. There is nothing visually impressive about it.
What was cool about it at the time, and this was before smart phones, was that it came with software that allowed you to create a phone directory on a PC. Then you could load the directory into the watch by holding the watch in front if a CRT monitor while running the upload function in the program.

Many years later, I found out that this was one of the few watches that NASA, approved for use on the Space Shuttle. They must have had some technical restrictions to prevent interference to sensitive Shuttle equipment?
I just recently bought a new band for it. Velcro, if that's '90's enough for ya?

My friend had one of those in the late 90s. Pretty sure it was an Ironman watch. He didn't have a computer so I installed the program on mine. It was like it flashed bar codes across the screen and the watch picked it up.

I'm with ya. My senses are tingling. You're right; it's just too easy, too... convenient. Something strange is afoot. I vow not to rest until said mystery is solved. I'm thinking illuminati involvement, but I'm merely a lay person here. Your sleuthing skills dwarf mine. Keep fighting the good fight sir.
Chemtrails.

I was thinking more like this.

During the escalation of Vietnam the three little towns bordering Ft Rucker became the most densely populated region of the state virtually overnight and untold acres of peanut fields and longleaf pine groves became massive trailer parks to handle the sudden influx of helicopter pilot and maintenence trainees and their families.

Unfortunately that area of the state is also prone to tornadoes, especially in the spring when it was the spot where warm gulf air would meet cold air masses pushed south by blasts from Canada.

On more than one occasion one (or more) of those massive trailer parks would get ripped to shreds. The worst i recall was one where over 200 trailers got destroyed or ruined in a single night as four seperate tornadoes formed running almost due east with each one about 100 yards further north than the previous twister and about 10~15 minutes apart, starting around midnight.

The first one got more than 60 trailers, and each successive touchdown was worse that the one before it. By the time it was over close to 30 were dead and around 100 were injured.

I'll never forget going by there in the days following and seeing the massive carnage. To this day i don't think i could live in a trailer.

Misery loves company. Simple as that. She's miserable, so she needs to randomly pick people to "take down a notch". If she makes you miserable then she's not alone at being miserable.

So, it clearly affected you or you wouldn't have vented about it here (not that we mind....just an observation).

My only suggestion is to wear the watch at least for the next few days. By not wearing it you would give her a small "victory" and encourage more behavior like this.

Classless people are one step above animals and are not very hard to figure out. They come from all socio-economic backgrounds, races and genders. So I would say the same about a wealthy Classless person. The flip side of those kinds of people come from all socia-economic backgrounds as well. I have met dirt poor people who carried themselves, and treated others, in a way that was almost regal.

All of that analysis having been put forth, you really have put all of us in an awkward position by not providing pics of the watch or the "lady". We simply don't have enough information to make an informed decision.
;)

Sometimes people can be unintentionally careless when they open their mouthes to speak.
This hag was not, so why give a flip what she said?
From your description of her, would you value her opinion at any rate,on any subject?

At my advanced age, whenever i'm confronted with intentional malice like that,i just glare at them, say nothing, and remove myself from their general vicinity.....fortunately i work at home,so these are rare occasions.

Unfortunately I've got one in my family.
He's married in, & yes they live in a trailer.

He refuses to work & sits around playing video games all day.
When he comes to family functions he complains about getting pulled over by the cops & how people treat him differently because of how he looks.

The only difference appearance-wise between myself & him is that I don't have tattoos or piercings. My hair is just as long as his & I maintained a scraggly beard all Winter.
So I'm guessing he drives in a manner that would make the cops suspicious of him.

Once upon a time I'd engage him in his arguments, when he was clearly out of line, but my aunt (his MIL) sides with him every time, so I just stopped talking to him.
The sister-in-law married up to a guy I used to work with, in a well-paying job & her life is the polar opposite of her sister's.

so, I live in Australia, and we call them bogans.
But these are people who look, live and talk rough.
I have been working with a woman who is the epitome.
She, along with some other workmates and I were sitting at our morning break. She commented
"Your watch is shaging ugly! The worst looking watch! It's shaging dreadful"
My other workmates tried to steer the conversation away from her vile comment, but I said:
"This watch was a special gift from my long deceased mother"
She laughed and said "so shaging what? It's still shaging ugly!"
For the record, everyone else in the group liked my watch.

So did you laugh and say " Hahahahaha. Well you're uglier than my watch and a POS too.".
