Dean acoustic bass question

I'm thinking of gettin this bass just to use around the house. I was curious if it'd be easy to switch for a lefty. I think the nut comes out with a little work and the bridge may just slip out and turned over easily. Does anyone have any experience with this bass? Thanx........

Those are great ABGs for the money, and they are also among the loudest ABGs I've ever come across, but I don't think that it would be a good idea to try to "convert" it to left handed. The bridge would require too much work. You would probably be better off checking out www.rondomusic.net and seeing what they have for lefties there.

I have a dean Playmate. I dont know about switching it to lefty. Mine you wouldnt want to. I have to cutaway version. Best acoustic bass i have ever played. Although i get alot of buzz of the frets from it. Oh well its just to mess around on. Very loud. Very nicely made all around for a sub $200 acoustic

Why not. I have the Right hand version. The pup is a little bright, but I hust dial the treble back on the amp - ...

I also use a outboard preamp. Huge help!

I agree, probably not a major undertaking. I've been in a house jam with a Dean ABG, while I was on an upright. The Dean fit in audibly, sounding like a funky baritone.
