has anybody ever used one of these? i need a pu for a show in a couple weeks, and im broke. i was thinking about using it on my bridge for now and then moving it up to the back of the fingerboard for a clicky when i get a better brigde pu. also, best place to mount these? my upcoming show is irish folk but i also do rockabilly. any ideas? thanks

ive used this on an acoustic guitar before, and its very dry. sounds great when blended with a mic. anybody tried it on a db?

Hi Josh, and thanks for the profile!
If you are broke and already have this at hand, I'd use it.
You may have to find the sweet spot yourself though.
Some suggestions: right over the sound post, above an inch below the G string bridge foot; on a bridge leg; on a bridge wing (part on the wing, part on the leg); near the strings.
All these settings will give more or less body sound/string sound.
Please be careful to plug it into a high impedance input to get full basses. A low impedance BG amp input will load the pup and give a britlle, faint tone.
I'm not familiar the SWR 4004 amp, so check the specs!
An impedance of 1 megohm or higher is recommended for a piezo pup.
