Dean Markley RM-400SB Schematics?

Hello,
Anyone have schematics for this amp head? My stepson's friend, another
beginning bassist, has a dead amp he would like me to fix. The primary
windings on the power transformer are shorted out and it's probably a goner, but I would take it farther if I had schematics. The Dean Markley site does not have them for this model, so if there any fellow electronics techs here that could help out I would really appreciate it.

I believe that Your best bet would be contacting Dean Markley technical department (if You haven't already) and ask for the schematics or the transformer specifications. To my experience at least GK is exellent about it for the older units.

If that fails You can reverse-engineer the transformer, takes quite a bit of time, but can be done.

Nice bit of mind-reading also! I've a request in w/ Dean Markley but
am not pinning my hopes to a response. So now I'm currently in the process
of un-winding the transformer in the mild hope I'll find a simple short
I can fix. Could be a nice wad of fused magnet wire instead which makes
it toast. Even if thats the case I'll have a winding count and wire gauge
to match with. There's no manufacturers info or numbers printed on
the transformer so this is my only shot. Kinda' old school I know but it's
for a good cause ... 15 y.o.'s putting in the effort to learn music rather
than vegging with a video game non-stop has my support!
