Dedicated C Tuned Bass

I'm considering dedicating a Fender P bass to C tuning. I understand that this will require thicker strings, a recut nut and a setup. I do however have two questions:

Will my existing rig ( SVPCL, Heritage 4X10) reproduce the low notes accurately?

Will I have access to more tunings with this setup?
