Double Bass Deep Valley Rangers

Tonight I saw the Deep Valley Rangers with Steve M. in a cool little theater in LA.

I'm not a Blue Grass player so it was amazing to hear their bass player drive that bus the entire show with no drums. Great little combo amp (10") behind him, everything else in the show was FOH.

Besides a great show it was a real learning experience for me to see where a sweet little combo is all that you need. I was in the sixth row and besides the mix, I could still hear that combo.

Anyway, now I love Blue Grass!

Just FYI - it's the Steep Canyon Rangers. But I love Deep Valley Rangers - might have to use that for a bluegrass band name . . . . !
