Deez Nuts Sound.

and I'm almost done laughing from this actually being a thread title. DEEZ NUTS. Oh LOL.

Heheh. I actually THOUGHT this was gonna be a "how do I get this HIP-HOP tone". Definitely didn't expect "how do I sound like Korn"

DEEZ NUTS..... blimey!

Im just hoping the OP is not serious and is just looking for some fun times whilst sounding like excrement.

Ack.. what a horrible cover..

I don't think that's a cover. The first two lyrics are ripped off of Wu-Tang's C.R.E.A.M. but outside of that I think it's their song.

It sounds like a clanky midscooped overdrive.. Start with an overdrive patch, scoop the mids and maybe boost the highs, play hard with a pick and low action for extra fret-clank? That's where I'd start looking.

It's clanky and midscooped, but it's also deficient in the lows. Maybe something like a vintage Rat that midscoops and cuts low end?

Search up "Korn" on here. Should give you enough info to get the clank you need.

Korn's sound is actually less overdriven/distorted and has a lot more bass to it. It's the extreme version of the smiley face EQ but there's as much low end as there is upper treble clank.

See? And you get a free lesson too.

Whoa whoa whoa there. You just put Fieldy in with Claypool and Entwhistle? I'd be careful, the mob will be knocking any minute.

For the record, I have no Fieldy hate. Diff'rent strokes for different folks and his style fits exactly with the application.

I don't really see why people hate on Feildy so much, anyways...:scowl: Not saying you did, but just a general question. :hmm:

I think his 'tude and comments get him in trouble, as well as the fact that he is often blamed for being buried under a wall of muddy guitar.

His time is excellent/creative, to achieve the sounds he wants his techinique is interesting to say the least, his tone is admittedly questionable, but as already mentioned, he fits the canvas being provided.

He gets flack for saying he sometimes doesn't care, nor even know, what note he is playing. He's not the first one to use an electric bass as a percussion instrument.

Aside from a few cool grooves the band doesn't do much for me, but so what? They do what they do, and the singer writes with his brain/heart. Very very short list of modern rock bands can even get on that list.

To the OP, get a cheap guitar distortion pedal, and scoop all the mids out of your tone. I thought the clip was cool. Very retro 1980s LA sound. (Suicidal!)
