Definately buy this! Vox Amplug bass

I recently bought this and was surprised at how good it is. Basically it plugs into your bass, you plug headphones into it, and you can play away to your hearts content with good sound quality, you can go anywhere, and nobody tells you to turn it down!
The one downside is it doesnt come with headphones and when you do buy some, you have to make sure theyre good ones.
But all in all its a great and very useful little piece of kit, just thought i'd share it with my fellow TBers :)

I have the AC30 version of the Amplug, and it works just fine with a bass. It has gain, tone, and volume controls, and an aux in for playing along to MP3s. Works fine for silent practice. Oddly enough, even though it's really meant for guitar, I think my Strat sucks through it!

i love it too.. plugged up to my iphone and realbook great for practicing. I wonder if vox makes a pedal to get that tone on the compression setting.

I have one and have had it for a couple of years now. I play it on the bus so I don't bother the goofy guitard who is trying to sleep.....:D

But seriously folks......

I like it for what it is....a small headphone amp. It does what it was designed to do and it does it fairly well (good enough for me). It is NOT a high quality piece of electronic gear, nor was it designed to be.

Would I buy it again? I dunno....probably, but I might spring for one of the better headphone amps also...

But overall.....I am a satisfied customer!
