Define "Practice" v.s. "Rehearsal"...

In my cover band, we all practice on our own so we don't have to rehearse. Less unpaid band rehearsals = more paid gigs.

In my second language the word for rehearsal translates to "preparation" and the word for practice translates to "repetition," which I think is fitting.

Practice is learning and improving through repetition.
Rehearsal is preparation for a performance.
Most bands tend to do a mixture of both between gigs.
